Our Story
Feathers And Wings was created with the intention of expressing beauty, grace and simplicity through a creative medium. Born from the belief that jewellery can be more than something beautiful, each crafted piece holds the ability to carry meaning, mark a moment in time and become part of the story we carry with us.
Based in London U.K., goldsmith Jane Bannor creates delicate fine jewellery by hand, with an emphasis on simplicity, craftsmanship and enduring beauty. With a steadfast commitment to sustainability, Jane carefully considers the materials she works with, creating jewellery that embodies graceful elegance and lasting meaning.
Driven by a passion for empowering women, Jane’s journey began with volunteering for a charity for vulnerable women. There she saw first hand how much strength can exist alongside vulnerability, and how meaningful it can be when women are given the opportunity and support to rebuild their lives. Those experiences stayed with her and helped shape the values behind Feathers And Wings, supporting women who are socially and economically disadvantaged, through charitable donations.
Jane’s believes that true beauty lies within, aside from today’s cultural strive for perfection; that it lies in life’s precious and unique moments. It is here that her inspiration is found from the moments in life we each create. With the hope of capturing such moments, she presents a collection of timeless, golden treasures that exude both beauty and light. Pieces that are to be worn by you and passed down to yours.
Her approach to making is equally considered. She chooses precious materials with care and creates her jewellery with respect for both the people who wear it and the world it comes from. Rather than following passing trends, she is drawn to quiet, timeless forms - pieces that feel personal and become more meaningful through wear.
Feathers And Wings is about more than jewellery. It is about choosing with intention: pieces thoughtfully and consciously crafted to accompany you through life, gathering memories along the way.

Meet The Maker
Jane Bannor
Artisan, Goldsmith
Jane's earliest memory of jewellery is of her Mother. She would always adorn herself in stacking bangles, elaborate necklaces and gemstone rings. A trait seen amongst the nobles of her heritage: Ghana's Asante culture. Some of these items were passed on to her. It is a pastime sewn into the heart of Feathers And Wings.
In 2013, Jane spent her Tuesdays volunteering with the women from 'The Waterfall', a women's recovery group that helped vulnerable women overcome addictions. Having taught herself how to make jewellery, she in turn, taught the women as part of their creative outlet session. It was here that her love for crafting jewellery was born.
Jane started Feathers and Wings not only to do more for The Waterfall by giving her time and donating to the charity, but to encourage others that it is possible to do and achieve all that you dare to dream. With Feathers and Wings, she was able to combine her love for the arts with the gift of compassion.
Further gaining a certificate in fine jewellery amongst other traditional metalsmithing methods, as well as becoming an ambassador for Fairtrade Gold, she uses these techniques and ethical standards and practices to craft lifetime treasures that will be worn by you and yours. Modern heirlooms that excite you, jewels that reignite joy from a special day and also remind you of the strength you hold.
[Aside from fine jewellery, Jane has a BN Bachelor of Nursing (Adult) with an additional diploma in Critical Care. She has a lengthy background in Neuroscience Nursing, specifically Neurology, Neuroscience Critical Care: Trauma, Neurology & Neurosurgery, and as a Neuroscience Research Nurse. She is further completing a diploma in Interior Design.]
